I am the youngest of eight children and was born in a spooky three-hundred-year-old house in England.
I grew up in the tiny town of Hatherleigh with stories of local legends, ghosts, fairies, and pixies. As a child, I loved camping and finding small, unsuspecting creatures such as snails, newts and toads. I used to spend the entire summer holidays camping in my garden!

Our little town didn’t have its own library but I loved visiting the library van which visited once a fortnight. My mother was also passionate about reading, and I have lovely memories of cuddling up in the evening, listening to her stories.
In 2003, I came to Australia on ‘holiday’ and never left! A country girl at heart, I now live in regional WA with my husband and two boys. As a mother, I rediscovered my love of children’s stories and soon developed a strong dream to write my own…
